97. An officer who elects reinstatement shall:
(1)  participate in the professional career transition services to which his employer must provide access;
(2)  within 3 months from the date on which his position is eliminated, prepare his reinstatement plan, with the help of the external resource retained by the employer to provide career transition services if necessary, and submit it for approval to his employer, which shall convey its decision to the officer within 20 days following receipt of the reinstatement plan; the officer may modify his reinstatement plan, with the employer’s agreement. If the employer fails to convey its response by the end of this period, the plan is automatically accepted, unless the employer notifies the officer that it is impossible to make a decision, and that the period will have to be extended to no more than 40 days. A copy of the reinstatement plan shall be forwarded by the employer to the agency within 10 days following its acceptance;
(3)  commit to search for a position where he can be reinstated and accept, to that effect, the assistance of the external resource retained by the employer to provide career transition services.
